This report is 55 pages long and has 21 recommendations. It is worth the read as you will hear yourself throughout the report. Recommendation 21 addresses testing for 3-8 and the consequences for teachers (page 9.) The Report also gives a good history lesson on the flawed roll-out. More will come, but this report along with the passage of "Every Student Succeeds Act" is great news. It's a good thing we filed for the Hardship Waiver! How this impacts 3012D and APPR moving forward, we are not sure yet, but after Governor Cuomo's "State of the State" address on January 12, we will know more.

APPR Tips from Vice President Carolyn Richards:
APPR Tips from Vice President Carolyn Richards:
- Print the APPR Tracking Forms. Try to make a folder for yourself to track this year's APPR. These help document the Process.
- Refer to the APPR Summaries. I like these as they are a bit more user friendly than the APPR Plan that is on the webpage. You may want to refer to them when writing your SLO's.
- Observations - At Post observation meetings try to bring any artifacts, Pre/Post assessments that may complete the lesson.
- Any Feedback on last years APPR experience should go to APPR committee members so your questions or concerns can be used to make needed changes to our District's plan.
- Building Representatives are a great resource for questions you may have with the APPR process.
